Project: Loup County, Nebraska
Services: Web Redesign
Year: 2020
This case study revolved around Loup County, Nebraska and their website. While the original functioned well enough, it could be better. Information was scattered and unreliable. There was no branding whatsoever and was mainly a base of html.
For the case study, I used the environment of Nebraska as inspiration. Good imagery invites the users into the website and introduces them to the spirit of Loup County. As it is a county website, it was important to design the usability well as well as design the information so it was easy to find and read. Colors reflect the agricultural focus of the area.
For this case study, I focused on the main page, the photo gallery of the About subpage, the building permit information and document subpage, and a voting information subpage. This case study was to design an information heavy user face for both mobile and desktop. I started with the mobile, then based the desktop designs around it.
